Layered and processed into something else entirely. --- TUBEmusic is a multi-part electromagnetic sound work documenting London's Underground network, recorded in 2015. Using electromagnetic field pickups during actual tube journeys, the series captures the electrical signatures of six different lines. CENTRAL, PICCIDILLY, DISTRICT, JUBILEE, NORTHERN & BAKERLOO lines. ​ Each composition transforms electromagnetic recordings into layered soundscapes through temporal shifting and speed manipulation. The electrical emissions of aging infrastructure, contemporary systems, and trains under operational pressure become source material for exploring how depth, technology, and usage patterns shape the Underground's hidden sonic character.
