Hey, so I'm going over the question, I'm not getting enough clients. Hey guys, if you're like me, you've always had a desire to do more. And even inside, you've known there's a way and a possibility for you to achieve your dreams, the lifestyle, and achieve the freedom you've always wanted. Because we have what it takes to get things done and learn from others and get the mindset to achieve the dreams we've always wanted.
Welcome to SB Warriors. Alright, what's up SB Warriors? And, you know, I'm kind of walking through some problem solutions that I'm noticing potential clients of mine tend to have. And the first thing that we're going to do is I'm not getting enough business, I'm not getting enough clients.
And so I then kind of ask them, like, what are you doing to put yourself out there more? And I think the easiest solution is to go, hey, I'm going to pay somebody X and they're just going to go ahead and do it for me. And I want to caution people, it's like, you have the ability now and right now I'm communicating you through either audio or video. And so I'm recording this video, but I'm also going to be using as audio source.
But you have the ability to reach out to people just the same way I'm reaching out to you. And I think a lot of times people don't want to do that. So I'll give you a story of what happened. So I'm building up this funnel to help people understand advertising with YouTube.
And one of the things I was doing is I had to create some images. And in my images, I was trying to create what we would call a curiosity on the landing page. So you're more likely to get people to opt in, leave their information. So I'm literally, I go against a solid color wall and I'm like, okay, let me go in my backyard and I'll just go ahead and shoot some stuff, put my camera on the automatic and I'm doing all these crazy poses like, and over here and I'm just totally self-animated.
And in order for me to do these funky poses and I end up doing like 20 different ones, I had to be willing to look stupid. I mean, and that's the real truth. It's like, you, so many people say they want clients, but they're only willing to kind of act in a way that they believe is just going to like, here, I'm going to, here's money and you're going to solve my problem. Now it is going to solve your problem on a level where you're actually putting yourself out there.
But the true form of, you know, hey, what do I need to get clients? The true form for you is actually to get attention. And the best way to get attention, I believe, is through a software sale is going to be through content marketing. I believe content marketing is a great tool to use.
Everybody likes it and there's times of doing, there's times not to do it. I think the time to do it is when you're trying to create value for people so they can start to get to know you, build that trust with you. Because if you're not doing that, then you're kind of like left behind. Now video is a tool, an awesome tool to where like, you will probably make a FaceTime phone call versus an actual phone call.
At least I know what happens in my family. We want to see people, we want to react to people. Well now people have gotten so accustomed to video when you don't use that in your marketing, you're actually hurting yourself. And so what you got to ask yourself, how can I grab the attention of people so that I can ultimately get more business?
Now you shouldn't just be doing it throwing out videos that are crazy that don't make sense. But you want to create content and create things that people are going to watch. People are going to use it. And if you're not going to create content for sustainable, like creating your digital assets out there, at least your advertising should include video content.
And video content is something that could be fun to do. You just got to kind of change your framework on how you kind of view it. Because if you look at it, it's like, oh man, I'm really scared, I can't do it. I suck.
I'm a lot of times I see people who are all overweight. I need to do x, y, z before I can do these things. But this is your business. And you're now worried about how you may look to other people when the reality is that's the last thing you should be worried about.
You should be worried about why aren't you doing it for the success of your business? And I'm guilty of this too. I'm like, I'm preaching to myself. Like I need to be doing these type of videos more so that people know like, hey, yes, you can get in front of the camera.
If you don't feel comfortable, this is what I suggest you do. You're worried about people judging you. And when I hit a live video, I feel this weird flush of like heat energy that goes over my whole body. And I was like, oh, and I'm like, OK, I'm doing it.
And as soon as I hit it, I was like, who? And I still do it. And the more you do it, the easier it gets. And I think it's one of those things you just have to start doing.
Now, what I'll say, you know, what I was trying to say, if you don't feel comfortable, create a dummy Facebook, Instagram, whatever page that kind of gives you the ability to feel like you can do it or do it in something you're like interested in, but it's not your main business. So if you're so I did it for my personal Instagram page where I started just doing stuff about fitness because I enjoy fitness. So I know I started doing it. And I did it within people who I knew, I started going a little bit following.
I was like, OK, cool. But I started doing videos and talking through the phone because I knew there was a little bit of a barrier and resistance for me to kind of get through that barrier and feel more comfortable. So if you guys are a little, if you're in that boat, then you don't try it, practice it. But realize you're still taking away the time that you could be doing to actually be implementing your business.
The first videos, you should know they're going to suck. And that's OK because that is part of the process. As I said before, I don't know if you have to hear the podcast. We're talking about the first time I got up and I had to take pictures for Coles.
And I was taking these pictures and I was so stiff. I remember I had another time I got an opportunity to fly to New York and I did this gap at. And this I always kid you not. I was so scared.
And this is the time where New York hadn't been cleaned up. And so I'm walking down the street. I'm literally scared because he heard all these rumors about like New York being such a bad place. Well, I decided to walk and so I got out of the airport and I was like, you know what?
I don't know if I got dropped off. I don't know if I took a trip. I took the subway and I was like, OK, I'm a walk in. I don't know how to read the public transportation system because I lived right at a place where you took public transportation system and you'd be out there for two hours.
So we had to rent the rides, buses and stuff like that for school. So when I got out there, I was like, oh, and I start walking and literally kid you not I was getting hit up by like, hey, man, hey, bro, you want some crack, man? I was like, what? I was like, what's going on?
And then hey, baby, so I was up to me and I was just like in my heart. I had to probably look petrified because I grew up in a small suburb and I was so like I guess sheltered. And so here I am in New York and then I'm trying to go here to get my big thing I'm doing. And so I end up staying in this hostel.
And I don't know if you don't know what a hostel is. Hostel is basically like a hotel, but you share rooms with people. And I remember being so like, what is going on? Like there's somebody sleeping below, no, above me.
And I was just like, it just didn't feel clean. It didn't feel it wasn't like a nice hotel. It wasn't like, oh, we're going to set you up. It's like, because you're, hey, you're brand new, you suck, you know what you're doing.
So you're just flying out to New York and here's a job and it was like this editorial job. And so I was so freaked out. I was like, you know what? I'll never do this again.
But here's I know I learned something valuable. Like if I were to be in that same situation and I could talk to myself back then now, I would say, you know what, just forget about everything. Just be in the moment and just let it go. Let it go because if you're worried about what everyone's going to think about you, that actually makes you perform worse.
It makes you second guess yourself. And it's true for whether it's a photo shoot, whether it's you're working in a business, you're given a presentation anytime you start to over analyze what you're doing, how you appear to other people, the actually the worst you're going to do. The actually worse you're going to do. So it's better to let go and say, you know, I care what how I come up.
I'm not going to cross, but I can't change how the people think about me. You just can't. So if if you guys really want to and you're you're committed to say, yes, I want to make a change. I want to grow my business.
Well, you know, dive into the things that are going to be around because I believe in the videos that are created are digital assets. And I think of the real I think of real estate when I think of digital space, you know, of course, you know, whether they say you want market market, market, having having assets that you can have out there. So someone types in a keyword. And if you're in a local market, yours pulls up the likelihood that someone's going to see it as dramatically increases.
The more content you produce, the more that the platforms that you're seeing is go, oh, people like this. So they're also going to help increase this. So increase you. So but you have to start if you don't start, then you're going to rely on paid traffic forever until you have a solid list that you can always go to.
But anyway, when I grow your list, you want to start getting more customers. You have to start stretching and growing and start doing things like video. Get started. Have any questions?
You know, like, hey, I'm thinking about this. Ask me because I've been through it. I've been through it getting on my phone, getting in front of a camera, getting on the set. It is, yes, it's nerve-wracking.
But at the same time, you will grow through this process and realize, you know what, I'm when you're talking to the camera, you're like, I'm not just talking to what everything where all my doubts are going through my head. I'm actually communicating to somebody. So think about your avatar, talk to them. Now help tremendously a lot.
All right. Hopefully this helps you guys. Have a great day. Keep pushing.
