The Immigrant Council of Ireland CEO, Teresa Buczkowska said they are mourning the loss of their founder, Sr. Stanislaus Kennedy, whose passing on the 7th November has brought great sorrow to all who knew her. Teresa said, ‘Sr. Stan, as we affectionately knew her, was a courageous and intrepid woman. She established many social justice initiatives to address the challenges of her time, but she was always thinking about the future.’ Adrianne speaks here to Teresa about this amazing woman who along with founding the homeless charity, Focus Ireland, the Immigrant Council of Ireland, and the YSI project (Young Social Innovators) empowering young people to use their talents for social change, she wrote many books and created The Sanctuary, a place of meditation and peace in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city of Dublin.
