IMPACT with Ceola J. Featuring: CEO, Meilanny Haney - From Victom to Victory
from IMPACT with Ceola J. · host Ceola J.
Meilanny Haney is an Oakland native and advocate, a nonprofit founder, and community leader with a heart committed to transforming lives and restoring hope. Meilanny’s lived experiences of domestic violence, ignited a lifelong passion for bridging gaps between communities, law enforcement, faith institutions, and policymakers. As a survivor, she turned her own journey to freedom into a mission to help other women and children escape dangerous environments and reclaim their lives. In 2006, while still a college student, Meilanny was recognized as a Jefferson Award silver medalist for her public service in feeding unhoused individuals across multiple Bay Area counties. Her advocacy has also extended to supporting rehabilitated incarcerated individuals seeking relief and reintegration. Today, as the founder of From Victim to Victory, a California-based public benefit nonprofit she has developed a strategic, collaborative approach to reducing domestic violence and saving lives. Meilanny’s voice is bold, compassionate, and purpose-driven, dedicated to helping women rise, break cycles of abuse, and walk in freedom and dignity.
