(*MLK National Day of Service: Monday, 1/15*) Considering the current state of conflict throughout the world and recent attempts to dismantle anti-oppression initiatives, Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s life, global/universal legacy + vision for diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, justice, and peace resonate now as much as (perhaps more than) ever. We're long overdue for a paradigm shift in our systems... Rather than resorting to tearing people/places/things/spaces down as a means to an end, what if conflict was explored with the intention for everyone to win, as reasonably as possible? Instead, what if we built the world + each other up? 💡 Each day is a fresh start and a chance to recalibrate our own vision for justice + definition of authentic living -- especially in the spirit of the new year. Ultimately, the elements of Dr. King's mission were intrinsic motivations, cultivated from within.
