In this episode we speak with Dr. Supriya Joshi about taking care of our liver with diet and lifestyle tools. After completing her Medical degree at the University of Western Ontario, Dr Supriya Joshi completed residency in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and a further fellowship in Hepatology at The University of Toronto. After working at Toronto Western Hospital as a clinical Hepatologist for a few years she has been working at The Credit Valley Hospital, Trillium Health Partners in Mississauga, Ontario since 2004 as a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist. She is a Lecturer at the Tremerty Faculty of Medicine at The University of Toronto. She enjoys speaking and educating others on viral hepatitis and metabolic health related fatty liver disease and its management. She is the Medical Advisor and board member of Fatty Liver Alliance which is a patient advocacy organization. She has been writing and educating the public about the negative impact of poor diet on metabolic health for years and has been a guest on CBC Marketplace to highlight these issues as well as an invited guest on Podcasts and social media platforms. Outside of medicine she is married and is a mom to 3 young kids and enjoys travel, exercise and trying to improve her cooking skills.
