Integrity is so simple but yet so complex

from María Trusa · host Maria Trusa

Integrity is so simple but yet so complex. Life is very interesting and one thing I know, for sure, is that living a life with full integrity is one of the most difficult tasks that we can take on.   That we will never lie even those little white lies that we might tell our kids that wouldn't exist.  What you think is exactly what you say to people without filter.  It would mean really living in full integrity which I believe no one could.  However, living a life where integrity is at the forefront of your decisions, that is the goal we should take on.   Where you are not making up stories because you're afraid of being judged or because you're afraid of having those difficult conversations with people that can actually lead them to live a life that is actually worth living.  Having those difficult conversations open opportunities for you to have a real connection with people.   But I think the foundation that we create as we grow older and deal with reality is that we tend to create stories that could make us look good or would not show people the real you.  As I mentioned, we are afraid to be judged or afraid of confronting the situation. Not taking on the task of making decisions and creating this muscle that we built throughout the years.   Instead, we are getting that feeling where you are going to lie, you are going to make up a story or that you are going to twist a story a little bit.  Creating that muscle means that you are dealing with the anxiety that comes before you actually saying or living without integrity.   We get a warning that our bodies are telling us it is not right.   That we should just say, even if we make a mistake, we made a mistake and we honor mistakes but many of us in our personal or professional lives tend to just cover up the mistake and not honor the mistake.  It is the muscle that we have built throughout our lives.  A muscle of living a life without integrity.   Therefore, I am asking you today to reflect on a daily basis before you take action, before you talk to someone and make up a story. Reflect on how you want to live life.   Do you choose the simple way which is to really try to live with integrity and be as truthful and honest as possible or do you choose the path of creating stories without integrity?  This is my ask for you today.   Let’s reflect, reset and reconnect.
