But food is an important part of the journey, too, and the culinary pilgrimage even has some restaurants running out of food. Also, North Texas is home to a vibrant culinary scene with buzzy new restaurants popping up alongside long-standing favorites. And yet it’s been three decades and counting since a local restaurant received a James Beard award.
