Interview: Evan Jager

from Inside Running Podcast · host TMYT Network

The biggest buzz at the London Marathon this year wasn’t just the racing, it was around Nomio. It’s a performance shot used by athletes like Cole Hocker and Conner Mantz. Nomio is used before their key sessions and races, whether it’s breaking the American Marathon record or getting WC gold in Tokyo. If you want to check it out yourself, it’s at drinknomio.com and if you’re in Australia or New Zealand, you can find it at Aid Station, and over at The Running Company. This weekend's interview on the Inside Running Podcast, Brad Croker sits down with Olympic silver medallist Evan Jager for an in-depth conversation on one of the most unique careers in distance running. Evan Jager is one of America’s most accomplished distance runners, best known for his dominance in the 3000m steeplechase. An Olympic silver medallist at the Rio 2016 Games, Jager broke a 28-year-old American record in the event and became a consistent force on the global stage, regularly competing against the world’s best. Coached for much of his career by Jerry Schumacher as part of the Bowerman Track Club, Jager has also claimed multiple U.S. national titles and represented the United States at several World Championships and Olympic Games. Known for his smooth hurdling technique and tactical racing, he remains one of the most respected steeplechasers of his generation.
