[INTERVIEW] Knowing your body and cycle w/ Fertility Awareness Educator Ashley Baronette

from Self(ish) Confidence · host Jess Clerke

Let's chat your menstrual cycle + hormonal health. Until I turned 30, I never gave my hormones much thought. I didn't know how hormonal birth control was affecting my body and honestly, I really didn't care because I didn't want a baby. As I got older and my symptoms got worse, my naturopath suggested the fertility awareness method and taught me how to track my ovulation by using my basal body temperature. I've been off birth control since June 2022 and I've never looked back. I feel more in control that I ever did on hormonal birth control. So I asked Ashley Baronette, a certified Fertility Awareness Educator (FEMM), to come and teach you a bit about this method. Today we're chat about using your bio-markers and fertility awareness as a natural pregnancy prevention or as a mean to optimize your fertility. We also chat about your hormone health and how you can use your body literacy to achieve healthier, easier menstrual cycles, free of PMS.Ashley is a a certified Fertility Awareness Educator (FEMM). She discovered fertility awareness through her personal struggles coming off of hormonal contraceptives. She was truly blown away by the magnitude of information that was not provided in health classes and sex-education in school. Which is why she decided to pursue formal fertility awareness training. "I strongly believe in educating menstruators of all ages about body literacy so that they can feel empowered in their own health and fertility. Fertility awareness is such invaluable knowledge."Connect with Ashley on Instagram: @empowereduterusCheck our her paper charts! What is the TempDrop?
