Interview - Richard Stein - Scale Modelling

Richard talks about scale modelling, what it takes, what it means and how you do it. My favourite quote of the episode is "I've heard it said that there are a number of things that everybody's got inside that they want satisfied. One is a desire to build things, right. One is a desire to collect things. One is a desire for physical activity where you are playing and doing something, and one is a desire for social activity. Now, I don't know whether you get that much playing or physical activity or winning with scale modeling. But you do get the competitiveness of winning at a exhibition if you get that. And all of those four things are very well catered for in scale modeling. You are building. All right, I'm collecting, I've got 200 to 300 scale model airplanes. I don't go into the competitions, but I do appreciate people do enjoy those competitions like that and the social part of it. Well, like I say, three times a week and away you go. You have a grand time of it."
