Primarily caused by bacterial infections resulting from the buildup of dental plaque, it triggers an immune response and leads to tissue destruction over time. If left untreated, periodontal disease can cause tooth loss and has been linked to various systemic health conditions, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis, adverse pregnancy outcomes, Alzheimer and with the recent pandemic COVID-2, patients with periodontal disease exhibited more severe symptoms.In this interview we discussed how better improve the communication between the dentist and physician and touched on multiple issues in healthcare from AI to diversity and much more. I wish you a Happy listening.
