Interview with Eugenia Holhos - 1730

Eugenia is Romanian born. At 18 she moved to Italy to study. She had a challenging childhood and felt lonely amongst her siblings. Her parents did not have a strong relationship. She was raised to believe God was a God of law and if she fell into temptation or sin, she would be judged. Most of her life was spent feeling tired and lethargic. No one recognised she had depression. She began to read the Bible and look for solutions. She accepted Jesus into her life and looked forward to doing missionary service for Him. But still the lingering tiredness was there. No one noticed the struggle going on inside. Whilst in Malaysia at a health retreat, in the natural setting, the peace and quiet, she found her view of God becoming more positive. She says, “God took me away from home to make me stronger”. He pushed me out of my comfort zone. And he gave me peace in the storms of my life. Eugania’s testimony leaves us with this message. Never give up praying or reading your Bible. Take your feelings to God in prayer. The Greatest gift is to know God. His grace is sufficient for all our needs.
