Fine Paiaaua, is of Tongan heritage but an Australian citizen, born in Sydney. He studied theology at Avondale University, Cooranbong NSW. Life was tough in the Paiaaua home. 8 children to feed, meant both mum and dad worked two jobs each in order to feed the family and keep them together. Fine’s childhood and early teen years held a good deal of turmoil. He witnessed abuse in the family, bullying and discrimination at school. He outlines more in this interview. At 12 years of age, something happened that changed his thinking. What happened to bring about the changes? How was Fine able to give up his dream of becoming a star football player and studying theology at Avondale?
