Since the local Co-op went into administration last year some new owners have taken over the Co-Op supermarket and the council also has plan to purchase the Co-Op carpark. There's also been some new building proposals in the shire and the low unemployment rate in the region. I spoke to Goondiwindi Shire mayor- Lawrence Springborg about this and more.
