interview with Kaysie Butler - 1718

Kaysie was born and raised by Seventh-day Adventist parents. She had many positive influences in her growing up years. Her mother had daily personal devotions and she guided Kaysie to do the same. She started this around the age of seven. Kaysie’s older brother loved God and loved reading the Bible. His decision to be baptised had a big impact on her. Another significant contributing factor on Kaysie’s spiritual journey was seeing her mother’s prayer life and many answers to prayer!  Kaysie made a decision to follow God and signified this by baptism. However, shortly afterwards she found herself in a dark place. Thoughts would enter her mind saying, “You are a hypocrite, you are not good enough”. It was at this time she learnt a big lesson—Faith is not feeling! She learnt that what God promises she could depend on! (She had learnt, God has promised, I can believe it.) Having to go through that process strengthened her faith in God tremendously.  There was one book that she found particularly helpful in her spiritual growth, and wished she had read it much earlier, because it clarified so many things in her mind. What was this book that showed the steps of coming to Christ?
