Interview with Nancie Schipper

from Local Roots

Nancie Schipper joined Dinah & Nat in the Local Roots studio to chat about her recently released single and upcoming shows. The Local Roots team first saw Nancie when she supported Approachable Members of your Local Community, and fell in love. She was a 2018 finalist in triple j’s Unearthed High competition, she has spent over 6 years  tirelessly performing on stages, cutting her teeth at pub gigs before being able to even buy a drink at the bar. Nancie Schipper joins us to talk about her newly released single and upcoming shows. “Make Sure You Get Home” is about checking in on all your friends and not letting them deal with things alone. “A friend had asked me to send her a text when I got home safe and it got me thinking about how powerful friendship has been in my life and how much I value it. We all want our friends to succeed and would do anything to help them, so it can be hard to watch them go through hard times.” Want to premiere a track? Get in touch with us!
