It’s important to think about your base price in a deal/negotiation that you’re willing to take on. It’s important to stay disciplined and only do the deal at a price that makes sense for you. Real estate is a source of wealth-building that requires a long-term horizon and no speculation as it’s not a liquid asset class. To be successful you must think for the long term and this can be beneficial when competing against institutions who have a 3-5 year exit plan for deals.   You should always be assessing your situation, learning and asking how you could do it better in the future. Investing requires discipline and the ability to understand what you’re going to walk away with after a deal is done.
