La traduzione pianistica in 3D delle suites per violoncello di BachL’idea di trasferire sulla tastiera di un piano le suites per violoncello di Johannn Sebastian Bach è maturata lentamente nella mente di Thomas Jarry, che le ascoltava affascinato già da bambino eseguite da suo fratello Damien, e che una decina di anni fa ha iniziato a pensare di fare qualcosa in più di una semplice trascrizione, osando profanare la pietra miliare con la quale ogni violoncellista prima o poi nella vita si misurerà.  Il suo arrangiamento è legato a uno strumento appartenuto al Conservatorio di Versailles che come le suites bachiane lo aveva affascinato fin da bambino, un  Gaveau concert grand del 1953, che è riuscito a rintracciare da adulto, e a entrarne in possesso dopo varie peripezie. Difficile immaginare qualcosa di più distante a livello organologico, ma la musica di Bach ha una tale pregnanza da resistere a ogni sua possibile traduzione sonora.Dopo aver consultato alcune trascrizioni fatte nel passato, insoddisfacenti dal suo punto di vista perché stilisticamente di stampo classicistico, ha cercato di operare una sintesi compatibile con la loro dimensione “barocca” e con il suo tocco personale si è lanciato nell’impresa che è culminata nella registrazione di un doppio disco. In questo podcast il pianista racconta la genesi del suo lavoro di arrangiamento e l’indissolubile legame con il monumentale strumento, pagato un tanto al chilo, con il quale ha immaginato e realizzato la versione da lui definita “tridimensionale” delle celebri suites.                                                                                    Paolo Scarnecchia
