Venite a laudare, per amore cantareLa seconda edizione del festival DeMusicAssisi è stata inaugurata il 15 agosto da un concerto dell’Ensemble Orientis Partibus, fondato nella città umbra all’inizio degli anni Novanta, con un programma dedicato alle laude, che quest’anno rappresentano il tema centrale della manifestazione dedicata alla musica medievale.  Attraverso l’alternanza di una selezione di canti in volgare contenuti nel Laudario di Cortona e canti in latino presenti nel Laudario di Bobbio, questo concerto ha dato avvio al percorso di riflessione sul genere poetico musicale devozionale che ha avuto una grande importanza nel periodo medievale e anche oltre. Le laude in volgare venivano intonate da confraternite di laici, mentre quelle in latino  erano cantate in chiesa da “clerici” durante le celebrazioni delle più importanti festività del calendario religioso.   Nell’intervista Vladimiro Vagnetti descrive i rispettivi ambiti nei quali i due generi di lauda venivano eseguiti, sottolineando come sul piano musicale non esistano differenze sostanziali che riguardano prevalentemente la lingua nella quale il sentimento della devozione ha alimentato la sua espressione poetica.Paolo Scarnecchia
