#InTheSpotlight FARAH FORTUNE

from Afternoon Talk · host SAfm

FARAH FORTUNE - OWNER AND FOUNDER OF AFRICAN STAR COMMUNICATIONS A JOBURG BASED PUBLIC RELATIONS COMPANYWhen did you realise that you wanted to be your own boss, and how difficult was it starting your own company?I’ve always wanted to be my own boss. Who doesn’t! I guess until I actually took the step of leaving my job, I didn’t realize how badly I wanted it. Although being your own boss is FAR harder than being the employee. I wish someone had warned me about that!! It wasn’t difficult starting the company. That was the easy bit. It was maintaining the company and making a profit that proved to be difficult. Although like my mom says “If you have a passion for something, do it for your passion and the money will follow” I have also learned that if you good at something NEVER do it for free. Persistence and passion are your biggest assets in business. Trust me!
