Shirley has a Doctorate in Education from Harvard University and is a Professor (Extraordinaire) of Human Resources Management: Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences, Graduate School, University of Pretoria. Her previous roles include Deputy Global Head of Human Resources for Standard Bank Group, and Human Resources Director for Standard Bank South Africa. Prior to that, she was enterprise HR Director at Nedbank Ltd, responsible for the overall integrity and strategic direction of the Group’s HR function. She also has experience in parastatal organizations as well the IT and FMCG sectors.
