Into the Wreck.

from bong1011 3Speak Podcast · host bong1011

https://3speak.tv/watch?v=bong1011/45ac383e I jumped into a high-tide waterway and swam to reach the aquarium area. Inside a wrecked ship, I found a mechanical bow and used it to silently take down runners and a dangerous clicker. After a close fistfight with another infected, I successfully cleared the initial threat. After getting out of the water, I had to go through a truck to get to the other side. It was the only way to move forward toward my goal. I stayed low and kept my eyes moving to make sure no enemies were hiding in the shadows. After getting to the other side, I noticed I was very close to the aquarium. But I did not see any way to get there except by crossing the waterway with high tides. I knew it was dangerous, but I had to jump anyway to keep moving. After jumping into the water, I started swimming real fast because I was worried I might drown in the strong current. My focus was entirely on reaching the other side before my strength gave out. After reaching the other side, I felt a lot of relief. I was hoping it would not be too hard to cross that high-tide waterway, and luckily, it was not as bad as I had feared. I had to get inside the ship to find a way through. When I was navigating inside the dark hallways, I found a cabin full of dead bodies. And I found a single arrow on one of those bodies. Finding that arrow gave me hope that a bow was nearby. I continued through the ship until I reached the passenger assembly station. There, I found a mechanical bow resting with another dead body. I picked it up and checked the string to make sure it worked. Having a silent weapon should change everything for me, and I felt much more prepared for what was coming. Right after I got the bow, I noticed there were two runners ahead of me. I tried headshots on both of them, and my aim was perfect. Since the arrows did not break on impact, I was able to walk over and retrieve them from the bodies. I headed upstairs through some dark stairs very carefully. I kept my bow aimed at the corners in case of any uncertain situations. I moved slowly so that I would not make any noise on the metal floor. Right when I climbed upward, I noticed there was a runner ahead of me, so I tried a quick headshot. I let the arrow fly and watched it hit the target instantly. Suddenly, a clicker came out of nowhere that I had not noticed before. I had to make up my mind really quickly, so I turned and shot the clicker with an arrow to stop its charge. The single arrow did not take down the clicker immediately, and I did not have a clear shot for a second. I had to move back to create some distance between us. Once I had enough room, I took it down with another arrow. Along with the clicker, another infected followed me downstairs. I did not have time to reload my bow, so I took it down in a fistfight. I used some perfect dodges to avoid its attacks and finished it off with my bare hands. The initial threat was finally neutralized for the time being. We'll check what happens next in another post.
