Iris Waichler - Riding the Infertility Roller Coaster

Iris Waichler, LCSW, MSW is the author of Riding the Infertility Roller Coaster: a Guide to Educate and Inspire. She wrote the book to help empower, educate, and support men and women who are engaged in their own battles with infertility. She also included information for family and friends to help them understand the unique challenges people battling infertility have to face. Her book is dedicated to all of the children and the parents that wish for them. Iris has have been a licensed clinical social worker for over 30 years and worked in hospitals for over 13 years. She is also the mother of a daughter that was conceived through infertility treatment. She promised herself that if successful, at the end of the infertility journey she would do what she could to help other men and women in the midst of their infertility battles. Through her work in hospitals Iris learned that if people had the right information it would help them cope with whatever challenges they needed to face. She have authored 2 books and co-authored a third book. The first book was Patient Power: How to Have a Say During Your Hospital Stay. She co-authored a book, A Book is Born, with her stay-at-home mom colleagues at Wyatt-MacKenzie Publishing. These books all have a common theme. She is an advocate for her readers to help give them the tools they need so they can be prepared to tackle the life challenges that lay ahead. Iris has done volunteer work for RESOLVE, the national infertility association. She has led groups, did individual counseling, workshops and continue to write articles and speak on infertility related topics.
