Making sure your identity is empowering you is so KEY to the healing process. And I see so many women disempower themselves by over identifying with labels, stories or past experiences that are not serving where they are headed.  I’ve had new clients sit on a call with me and proudly share they’ve spent hours and hours in therapy, read every book under the sun and they know everything they could about what they’re going through.  They’ll pin point EXACTLY how their parent treated them in that way and that’s why they struggle with XYZ as an adult.  They’ll use all the correct terminology, to a level of understanding that they could have a psychotherapy qualification. 🤯 They’ll tell me their attachment style, their mindset blocks, their limiting beliefs, their triggers, and more.  Yet. They still feel triggered in their core relationships when people push that button.  They’re still regularly feeling anxious or avoidant.  They still perpetuate the same pattern in that area of their life despite recognising they’re doing it (and they’re even more frustrated because they’re SO aware) - things like toxic relationships, co dependency, people pleasing, overworking, poor boundaries.  Can you relate? I always say. Awareness is the first step. But then you need to take the next one.  And THAT'S what we're getting to the bottom of in this episode.

They’ll tell me their attachment style, their mindset blocks, their limiting beliefs, their triggers, and more.
