Join our conversation!Welcome to Let’s Journey Together- a Moment with Father. I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. I’m so glad you’re here. Is thankfulness contagious? The more often I say thank you, the more often I hear, "Thank you."  What about you? Many years ago, Father prompted me to thank a busboy cleaning the table next to the one I was sitting at. The look of surprise on his face and abrupt pause in his actions when I said, “Thank you for the work of your hands. Without you doing what you do, I couldn’t do what I do,” caught me a bit off guard, yet satisfied in that I was being obedient to what the Lord asked me to do.  Prompted to rinse and repeat by Abba, I continue to thank people when opportunities arise. Their response? Most of the time, the individual looks at me, hesitates, then smiles and says, “Thank you.” On occasion, I’ve heard, “No one has ever said that to me before.” Then, they smile and offer a thank you. Consider how often Father prompts you to thank others. Do they hear you? Do you make eye contact? Do you smile? Would you agree that the simplest gestures have the greatest impact when thanking others? We read in 1 Thessalonians that we are to give thanks in all situations, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (5:16-18 ESV) What about thanking Father? I thank the Lord privately in my prayer time. Yet, when I thank Him out loud in a group, I find more people become comfortable doing the same thing, especially my grandchildren. Being thankful is contagious. Contagious thankfulness. It’s a beautiful thing. Consider someone who needs your "thank you" today and let them know via… Email. Phone. Face-to-face. And cards are fabulous, too. However we thank others, let us do it with joy, a smile, and a prayer. Just because. Let’s journey together. Praise You, O Lord, for all You have done in my life, the lives of my family, and my friends. It's easy to think about the negative aspects of life, but this day, I choose to be thank "full" in spite of circumstances that draw me towards darkness. Open my eyes to those who need a word of encouragement. Help me to speak a word of thanks to those so often unseen. Thank You, Lord. You are faithful. You are worthy of all praise. You, O God, are Light. You are Mercy. You are Love and I worship You forever and ever. Hallelujah! Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22 May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.  Staying Real Just Got Easier!Discover Your God-Designed PersonalityFollow Linda Goldfarb on FacebookLeave a comment for Linda and HeatherCheck out Linda's BooksCheck out Heather's Books
