All in?We resolve to start running/walking this year! ALL in?We talk about serving others—ALL in?Matthew 22 reminds me about my need to be all in for God.“Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’” (Matthew 22:37-39 NIV).To experience the full power of Christ's resurrection, we are commanded to be All In when it comes to loving the LORD with our hearts, souls, and minds. Then there’s…“And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”At times, we all struggle to love others. Am I right? Yet, to be all in when loving God includes loving others and ourselves. The only way I’m able to experience the fullness of this commandment is to invite the Holy Spirit to love through me. No. Matter. What.In full transparency, I can struggle here. And in admitting my struggle, I gain freedom from it. Is this an area of struggle for you? How do you love God, yourself, and others when you’re not feeling it? I pray we all can adopt a spirit of willingness concerning love. Thus inviting the Spirit to love through us. Let’s journey together Father help me to be all in about love today. Give me a cautious spirit. A spirit that seeks You before speaking out. A spirit that chooses calmness over chaos. A spirit that sees how much You love me as an individual. Thank You, Abba, for loving me beyond my failures. Thank You for loving me beyond all measure. Help me claim a portion of that love to extend to myself and to others this day. Thank You, Lord, for Your example of being all in. You gave up everything to show me what true love looks like and acts like. Help me, Father, to walk as a reflection of You, so that I may show I’m all in too. Hallelujah. Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do.
