There may still be thoughts that linger, conversations that echo in your mind or responsibilities waiting for tomorrow. Before those concerns settle too deeply into your heart, let’s pause together. Our God does not ask us to carry today’s burdens into the night. Instead, He gently invites us to lift our eyes towards Him. When our thoughts are centred on His faithfulness, His perfect peace begins to steady our hearts. Scripture (NIV) “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” — Isaiah 26:3 Heavenly Father, thank You that Your peace is not fragile or uncertain, but perfect and enduring. As this day comes to its close, help us to place every concern, every unanswered question and every tomorrow into Your faithful hands. When anxious thoughts begin to rise, draw our minds back to Your promises. Teach us to trust You more deeply and to rest confidently in Your unchanging character. May Your Holy Spirit quiet every fear, strengthen every weary heart and fill us with the calm assurance that You remain with us through every season of life. Thank You that Your peace is greater than anything we have faced today and stronger than anything tomorrow may bring. Fear will not win, because the Lord gives perfect peace to those who place their trust in Him. May the Lord calm your heart this evening, fill your mind with His perfect peace and gently remind you that His faithful presence remains with you through the night.
