Isaiah 30:21 — This Is the Way: A Prayer for Guidance When You Do Not Know What to Do
from Daily Prayer with Reverend Ben Cooper · host Reverend Ben Cooper
Send us your feedback — we’re listening Isaiah 30:21 — This Is the Way: A Prayer for Guidance When You Do Not Know What to Do Live from London, England — where faith meets the world in daily prayer and global hope. Three Prayer Themes: Guidance • Discernment • Direction SCRIPTURE — Isaiah 30:21 (NIV) “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” Sometimes the hardest part of the day is not knowing what to do next. You may have several choices in front of you, and every one seems to carry its own questions. This is where we pause again with Jesus. Lord Jesus, after lifting our eyes to You this morning, teach us now to listen. We do not want to rush ahead simply because we feel pressured to make a decision. We want Your wisdom to shape our steps. Your Word reminds us that You are able to guide us. You care about the road we take, the people we meet and the choices we make along the way. We pray for people in Germany, Kenya, Austria, Belgium, Spain and France. Bring clarity where there is confusion and patience where there is pressure to decide too quickly. Holy Spirit, quiet the competing voices around us. Help us recognise what is wise, what is loving and what is consistent with the character of Jesus. And when we cannot see the whole road, give us enough light for the next step. Jesus, yesterday we looked to You for help; today we listen for Your direction. Keep us close enough to You that we do not need to know everything before we trust You. This is Your way. Help us walk in it. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Blessing: May Jesus give you wisdom for every decision, peace in every uncertainty and grace for your next step.
