Isaiah 40:29 (NIV) — When Your Strength Is Running Out, God Gives You Strength -
from Daily Prayer with Reverend Ben Cooper · host Reverend Ben Cooper
Send us your feedback — we’re listeningIsaiah 40:29 (NIV) — When Your Strength Is Running Out, God Gives You Strength Live from London, England — where faith meets the world in daily prayer and global hope. Perhaps the day has caught up with you. The things you were carrying this morning may feel heavier now, and you may be wondering how you are going to keep going. Maybe nobody around you can see how tired you really are. But Jesus sees you, and you don’t have to hide your weariness from Him. Isaiah 40:29 says, “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” Father, thank You that weakness doesn’t disqualify us from Your care. When our energy is low and our confidence has fallen, meet us exactly where we are. Give us enough strength for this moment, and help us not to worry about having enough strength for everything that comes tomorrow. Lord Jesus, at this midday hour we pray for people and communities across Ghana, Brazil, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Korea and Botswana. Strengthen families carrying financial pressure, encourage those facing difficult work or responsibilities, and comfort anyone who feels they have been holding everything together for too long. Give fresh courage to those who quietly wonder whether they can keep going. Holy Spirit, help us slow down and receive rather than constantly trying to produce. We don’t have to prove our strength today. We can admit that we need Jesus. Give us grace for the next conversation, the next task and the next step. Let Your strength meet us in our weakness and renew our hearts. Fear will not win, because our weakness is not the end of our story. Father, carry what we cannot carry, strengthen what has become tired, and help us continue this day with Jesus. Amen.
