I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Wherever you are listening today, perhaps life feels heavier than usual. Perhaps there are pressures you have not spoken about, concerns you have quietly carried, or situations that seem larger than your strength. Sometimes the most difficult moments are not the ones others can see. They are the battles taking place within the heart. Many people understand that feeling. When life becomes overwhelming, it is easy to wonder where God is. We pray, we wait, and we hope, yet circumstances do not always change as quickly as we would like. In those moments, fear can begin to whisper that we have been left to face things alone. Yet Isaiah gives us a different picture. God does not stand at a distance from His people. He draws near to them. He strengthens them. He helps them. He upholds them. His presence is not reserved for perfect days. His presence is often experienced most deeply in difficult seasons. The Lord knows every burden, every concern, and every unanswered question. Nothing about your life is hidden from Him. The same God who has carried His people throughout history remains present with you today. Father, thank You that I never walk through life alone. Thank You that Your presence remains constant even when circumstances feel uncertain. Jesus, help me recognise Your nearness today. When fear tries to overwhelm me, remind me that You are with me. When my strength feels limited, help me lean upon Your strength and not my own. Holy Spirit, fill my heart with reassurance and peace. Replace anxiety with confidence, loneliness with comfort, and uncertainty with trust. Help me rest in the knowledge that God is closer than I think.
