Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” Prayer As the day begins to close, you may be looking back at things that did not go as planned. Perhaps a conversation disappointed you, an opportunity fell through, or you simply feel that today has not brought the change you were hoping for. Isaiah speaks of God doing a new thing. Jesus, sometimes we are so focused on what has been lost that we cannot see what You may be beginning. You are not limited by yesterday, and disappointment does not have the final word over our lives. We pray for people in Ireland, South Korea, Botswana, Netherlands, Israel, and Zimbabwe. Bring hope to homes where disappointment has settled heavily. Strengthen people who are waiting for an answer, rebuilding after loss, or wondering whether anything good can come from a difficult season. Holy Spirit, give us eyes to recognise the small beginnings of grace. Jesus, we release our expectations into Your hands. We do not ask You to make every disappointment disappear. We ask You to meet us in it and show us how to keep trusting You. Where a door has closed, give us wisdom. Where we have been wounded, bring healing. Where we cannot yet see the way forward, keep hope alive. You can work in places we have stopped looking. You can bring life into situations we thought were finished. So tonight, we refuse to let disappointment become our identity. Jesus, help us leave this day with open hands. We may not know what tomorrow will bring, but we know who holds tomorrow.
