“Isolation”

Have you ever felt isolated? Have you ever self isolated? I have. It’s sucks. It happens when I feel overwhelmed. Perhaps overwhelmed by my thoughts or by tasks. For me isolation has also been a coping mechanism for times I feel uncomfortable too. I never quite knew what I was doing when I’d remove myself from a group of people or away from my own family. I am searching for understanding of how I feel so that I can continue to manage myself. The older I have become the more in tune with myself I’ve become. Living my truth comes with all kinds of twists and turns. At times I grow frustrated…who am I fooling…it stresses me out sometimes and I go mute. I’m in a season where research and reading are my best tools. I’ll never be cured of my disorders but I will continue to work at obtaining the knowledge necessary for my mental health.
