Met de massale mobilisatie aan Israëlische kant lijkt alles erop te wijzen dat een grondoffensief aanstaande is. Ook Palestijnse strijdgroepen zoals Hamas en Islamitische Jihad lijken zich voor te bereiden op oorlog in de dichtbevolkte Gazastrook.
