Have you ever thought much about wishing? Well, Brownell Landrum has. She wrote a book called the Art and Science of Wishing. She was fascinated by wishes and started studying them.  She found 70 scientists who have addressed wishing. She talks about "cosmic wishing" and the differences of our three selves.  Brownell originally worked in  advertising and marketing but was drawn to the mystical "woo-woo" stuff during the 80's when Shirley Maclaine had her show. She brought the spiritual side to storytelling and other subjects that she became fascinated with. Her first book, "Five Reasons why Bad things Happen" came from a difficult time in her life when she started questioning things.  We covered many topics: hospice, dying, savoring life, having more fun, rebellion, science, and of course, wishing.
