It’s been challenged to navigate to Thailand with vision loss
from Shattered but Unbroken · host Anousone
Traveling to Thailand has been one of the most meaningful challenges ofmy life. The heat, the unfamiliar surroundings, and the constant need toadapt made everything feel intense at first. I quickly realized how muchI had to learn — not just about a new country, but about myself. This is my first time navigating Thailand with vision loss, and everystep has been a test of patience, courage, and resilience. Sometimes Istruggled to keep up. Sometimes it felt overwhelming. But I kept movingforward because learning to navigate life — whether living here orvisiting — requires facing discomfort and uncertainty.Despite the difficulties, Thailand has been an incredibly beautifulexperience. The food is amazing, the people are kind, and the countryitself feels welcoming and vibrant. Traveling without eyesight can bepainful and exhausting, but it has also shown me how much joy can stillbe found in new places, new flavors, and human connection. Most of all, this journey has reminded me that challenges and beauty canexist at the same time. Even when things are hard, there is still somuch to appreciate.Thank you for listening, and thank you to everyone who has shownkindness along the way.
