It’s Fall 1: Holiday Prep

from Therapist Tierra · host Therapist Tierra

Teaching others how to treat you well begins with self-awareness. If you’ve never tried being a group member, I NEED YOU to test drive it! You will gain so much insight about yourself and will more than likely feel encouraged about this level of support from others. One of my favorite things to do in a group is to teach strategies, transform mindsets annnnd to bring in speakers so that they can share insight especially if they’ve already traveled along the terrain that my group members are hoping to accomplish. Ecclesiastes says, 'Two Are Better Than One, For If Either Of Them Falls, One Can Help The Other Up. Ok, group therapy is more than two people. It’s not outside of the norm for people to couple up after a group. Group Therapy provides an opportunity to connect with people who have similar wounds, under the guidance of a licensed professional. Think of the therapist leading the group, as a tour guide. Everyone should have the opportunity to check-in and share. This season’s group therapy will prepare you for what I like to call, Holiday Hurts.
