It's Okay to Not Know All the Answers

“We have learned that it is okay to not know all the answers, for then we are teachable and can learn to live our new life successfully.”    People will go to great lengths to act like they are knowledgeable about a particular subject just to avoid being perceived as senseless or ignorant. Why is that so common place in today’s society? In my opinion, there can be so much shame and embarrassment tied to not knowing something, being misinformed, or even forgetting a simple fact. As a result, we’d much rather save face by being dishonest to ourselves and others than to admit we don’t know something.    This turns into a vicious cycle that ultimately leaves you trapped, stuck, and unable to evolve and move further on your path. At this point, a decision needs to be made: You have to surrender and allow yourself the opportunity to grow as a human being. You have to make the conscious decision to admit to yourself and others, when necessary, that you don’t have all the answers. This should not be seen as a failure or disappointment, but rather a courageous moment where you give yourself a chance to be taught, to learn, and live a new way of life.    Don’t waste your talent. More importantly, don’t be the reason your talent is wasted. Your talent is simply being a human being on this earth with endless possibilities. So, don’t give up on yourself. Give yourself a chance to succeed. To live a life that is happy, joyous, and free.
