According to the World Health Organization, stigma remains one of the greatest barriers preventing people from seeking support for mental health concerns. Anti-stigma efforts are important because they help create communities where individuals feel safe to speak openly, seek help earlier, and support one another without fear of judgment. Here in Bermuda, Mental Health Anti-Stigma Month also serves as an opportunity to promote understanding, education, and community connection around mental wellness across the lifespan. This episode of Bermuda Health-Abets, a podcast where we discuss everything from A to Z on healthy living, is dubbed It’s Okay to Talk About It: The Power of Lived Experience Champions. #EmpoweringInformingandMotivating Bermuda residents to live well.Our guests this episode are Jah-nai Smith, Aminah Simmons, and Mrs. Maxine Brown.
