It's The Thought That Counts

from The Richard Nicholls Mental Health Podcast · host Richard Nicholls

Send us Fan MailI've been thinking about this topic for a long time and I've been a bit wary of talking about it because what I mean by "it's the thought that counts" is that it's our own thinking that counts towards whether an experience is a good one a bad one or simply just is. And with some really quite extreme situations too. But I don't want it to come across as if it's our own fault if we feel bad because something happened to us. It belittles someones experiences to say "Oh you're traumatised are you? Try thinking differently about it!" Because that's not quite how the brain works. Dr Shan Hussain - Enduring Health Podcast https://apple.co/2FRt2AhBecome a patron of the podcast! https://www.patreon.com/richardnichollsSubscribe to the newsletter for free extra episodes and hypnosis downloads. https://www.richardnicholls.netSocial Media Links Twitter https://twitter.com/richardnicholls Instagram https://www.instagram.com/richardnichollsreal Facebook https://www.facebook.com/RichardNichollsAuthorSupport the showJoin the Patreon community https://www.patreon.com/richardnichollsSocial Media LinksBluesky https://bsky.app/profile/richardnicholls.netThreads https://www.threads.net/@richardnichollsrealInstagram https://www.instagram.com/richardnichollsrealFacebook https://www.facebook.com/RichardNichollsAuthorYoutube https://www.youtube.com/richardnichollsTikTok https://www.tiktok.com/@richardnichollsauthorX https://x.com/richardnicholls
