Most large companies have a people analytics team. And most senior executives crave good people data. But when did data become so sexy in HR and is people analytics something we should celebrate, or perhaps fear? Using the complex and incredibly valuable area of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) for context, Talking HR Trends with Natal and Tom highlight that it’s no good just looking at the numbers in amazement, hoping the situation will change. Organisations need to take people analytics seriously if they are going to make meaningful improvements. Natal Dank of PXO Culture and Tom Haak (of the HR Trend Institute) agree that there are a few important features of your people analytics approach that will determine whether it succeeds or gets added to the list of items labelled ‘wishful thinking’.
