It's Worse Than We Thought
from Wranglerstar on Odysee Hosted by Wranglerstar
Day 3 helping Greg and his family clean up after the Grasshopper Fire — and this time we found something we weren't expecting. The wildfire got hot enough to compromise the concrete foundation itself, a process called spalling, meaning even the slab has to be torn out and repoured before they can rebuild. We had great volunteers out today — Brandon brought his excavator and fell all the dead ponderosa snags, Sean and Lars worked a mini excavator bucking and skidding firewood. Between the crew, we cleared the foundation, bunched up debris, and got one step closer to Greg having a slab ready for his new home. If things go right, Greg could be back on his property in about 30 days. Link to his GoFundMe is below if you want to help the family rebuild. ⏱️ CHAPTERS 0:00 - Day 3 begins 0:24 - Meet the volunteers 6:45 - Greg's travel trailer arrives 6:53 - Clearing dead snags 8:23 - Bucking and skidding firewood 9:58 - Why the foundation failed 12:07 - What's left to do 13:18 - 30 days to rebuild 🤝 HOW TO HELP Greg's GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/e4d083598 Volunteers still needed — Columbia River Gorge area Business inquiries: [email protected] 🔥 RELATED VIDEOS https://youtu.be/ax4JGuKOKBg https://youtu.be/S65HWDoGeJQ https://youtu.be/D7UMScOfPjk #WildfireRelief #GrasshopperFire #ColumbiaRiverGorge #DisasterRelief #Homestead #Wranglerstar #WildfireRecovery #CommunityHelp #Volunteer #Rebuilding Flag: GoFundMe link is still a placeholder — same one from the earlier videos, or has that changed? ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gh7OxWoC7A
