At least one Ivorian armed forces soldier was killed in a terrorist attack which took place overnight from Monday to Tuesday, in the locality of Tougbo, in the north of Côte d'Ivoire, in a border region from Burkina Faso. It should be noted that this is the third terrorist attack that Côte d'Ivoire has recorded in less than three months. The border region of Burkina Faso has been plagued by jihadist violence since 2015, causing many deaths among civilians as well as the defence and security forces.
