Par ekoteātri, kas pievēršas cilvēka un dabas attiecībām, savstarpējai mijiedarbībai un kurā klātesoši ir vides problēmjautājumi un konflikti Kultūras rondo izvaicājam pētnieci Kitiju Balcari, dramaturgu Evartu Melnalksni un režisoru Jāni Balodi. Samilstot vides problēmām, pēdējās desmitgadēs arī teātrī ienāk jaunas, ar vidi un ekoloģiju saistītas idejas – gan formā, gan saturā. Un mēs iepazīstam arī jaunus jēdzienus, piemēram, ekodramaturģija un ekoteātris. Kitija Balcare tikko aizstāvējusi promocijas darbu „Skatuves māksla ekokritikas diskursā: ekoteātris Latvijā 21. gadsimtā” ir pirmais sistemātiskais pētījums, kas pievēršas teātra izrāžu analīzei ekokritikas diskursā kontekstā ar vides konfliktiem. Balstoties posthumānisma teorētiskajos skatupunktos, izvērsti ir skaidrota ekokritiskā tuvskatījuma pieeja izrāžu analīzē. Darbā ir izsekots ekoteātra ģenēzei kā saturā, tā formā, piedāvājot aptverošu ekoteātra kā teātra virziena definējumu un ietekmju un izpausmju skaidrojumu. Sarunas beigās izskan dziesma "Diemžēl" no izrādes "Ummis un lobēlija". Komponists - Ernests Valts Circenis, balss - Dārta Liepiņa, flauta - Alise Golovacka.
