Jackies Music House Session #222 - "Piem" Piem: Alvaro Palau, known as PIEM, is a prominent DJ and producer in Barcelona's house music scene. With over 20 years of experience, starting in 2000, he has built a solid career shaped by his influences from house music in Ibiza, the U.S., and the U.K. PIEM is a key figure in Barcelona's nightlife, and his residency at Jackies events has made him a local favourite. Additionally, as the Music Curator for W Barcelona, he sets the musical vibe for one of the city's most important venues. Throughout his career, he has released music on renowned labels like DFTD, Ministry of Sound, and Crosstown Rebels. His talent has earned support from major names such as Danny Howard and Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, giving him widespread international recognition. PIEM has also shared the stage with artists like Black Coffee, Louie Vega, Seth Troxler, Hot Since 82, Folamour, Moodymann, and Honey Dijon, solidifying his reputation in the global DJ scene. He has brought his music to major festivals like Sonar, Mad Cool, and Electric Love, energizing large crowds with his dynamic sets. As for upcoming releases, PIEM is working on exciting projects with labels like Knee Deep In Sound, Moxy, Jackies, Toolroom, and Ministry of Sound, continuing to stay at the forefront of the scene.
