Interview with Daniel S. Chertow, MD, MPH, author of Bacterial Coinfection in Influenza: A Grand Rounds Review. Summary Points: Influenza vaccine remains the best available tool for prevention of severe influenza illness commonly associated with bacterial coinfection.
