James 1:5-18 - Wisdom in Enduring

When going through trials, one often prays to be delivered or to bring the trial to a speedy conclusion. James, however, advises that we should seek wisdom from God to endure and persevere through trials. We benefit greatly from our trials when we seek God to discern what we are to get from them. Our trials produce patience, but what other fruit is the Lord producing and strengthening in our lives? James says if we lack wisdom to benefit from or to persevere through trials, we should ask God. He is the source of wisdom.
