James 2:1-13 - Partiality in The Church

The book of James deals with many practical issues in Christian living. He now discusses the sin of partiality in the church. There are many areas where we can commit the sin of partiality; race, color, appearance, etc. James deals with the church showing favoritism towards the rich. In Leviticus 19:15, the Bible condemns favoritism towards the rich or poor. It’s not God’s will that we show favoritism towards anyone as we are all one in Christ Jesus, who died for us all, and broke down the walls of separation. We are to treat everyone equally.
