God bless you all Good morning, afternoon and evening my talented friends from this great community. Wherever you are and whatever you are doing, I hope you are doing well! My friends had thought about doing a "Guitar on Meditation" today, but since it's the weekend (Saturday) it deserves something happier and more active. So I decided to go for a "Funky Improv". Funk is one of the styles that I like the most for improvisation... well, that's when it's improsive, because generally my way of making music is more in a produced style or based on a composition, even if it's the simplest. But sometimes at some random moment, sitting at my PC working on a hot afternoon and to release tension for a moment I pick up the guitar and the first thing that comes to mind is a funky style free solo...accompanied by some riffs with slurs on the guitar. bar of C minor...by the way, the track I used is in Cminor (C minor) which was very comfortable, although I would have liked to make a download a little more fluid, but it is really a bit difficult to make the scales . and some solo styles on the acoustic guitar, due to the height and pressure of the strings and the size of the neck, this also made it difficult to keep the rhythm at times...a big difference compared to an electric guitar where it would be much more . practical...but I know that is to come (Amen). But I also fully enjoyed the moment since it is clearly an improvisation, I was able to get some harmonies even though the bass acoustic of the guitar usually makes the audio saturated at times. I was able to control this a little thanks to "Adobe Audition" through different virtual consoles, where I also added plugins for tube amplifiers and analog effects. About my relationship with Funk, until about 12 years ago I didn't encounter it much, I had a more square and closed musical mind on the edge of rock. And it was then that by surprises of fate I got to know up close the wonderful and brutal music of a Venezuelan orchestra band called Guaco, which makes a fusion of tropical genres but based on jazz and funk. An unexpected opportunity arose to play with an orchestra that covered Guaco songs, and this was new for me. So I had to study his songs by ear and by sight, and that's how I learned a way of playing the guitar, not only for funk but for many other things. And well, finally, to say goodbye, once again I want to thank the friends who have commented on my participation here in the community, thank you very much...although I have not had the chance to take a moment to respond to you personally, but I will be visiting your blogs right now. and I will tell you about it there. And again thanks to the community admins for the welcome and support always. I hope they trip this one. Greetings and a strong hug.
