Nelle puntate del periodo delle feste a cavallo fra 2019 e 2020 vi avevamo proposto i più classici album natalizi di ambito più o meno strettamente jazzistico, quelli di Sinatra, della Fitzgerald, di Nat King Cole, di Vince Guaraldi e la compilation postuma di Louis Armstrong; poi nelle puntate delle feste tra 2020 e 2021 avevamo continuato con l'album natalizio di June Christy e con due album natalizi di Tony Bennett (tutte puntate che potete ritrovare in podcast). Jazz Anthology cade quest'anno il 25 dicembre e il primo gennaio, e non potevamo dunque non continuare il nostro inventario del jazz legato al Natale e al periodo delle feste. In questa puntata cominciamo con i brani natalizi incisi da Sidney Bechet nel 1958 e continuiamo con l'album Christmas Carousel della cantante Peggy Lee, uscito nel '60 (lo stesso anno degli album natalizi della Fitzgerald e di Nat King Cole), per finire con A Merry Christmas! di Stan Kenton, pubblicato nel '61.
